“My mistake,”
she thought to herself as she looked
up into sleeping eyes.
They were brown when they were open.
“My mistake,” she thought to herself
as she wrapped herself around a
body that was harsh, and rigid.
Her head pressed against a proud chest,
sleeping; she could kill him,
she could kill him
without much effort.
“My mistake,” she thought to herself as
she recalled giving away her pocket knife.

On an angle
To the center
It’s the law
For worse, for better
They don’t know what we go
Through on a daily basis
Live through this
My darlin’
You are alone
You are never alone
Sleep the sheep are counted
For you
Hush, my child
Your fear is not realized
This is life
You are in it for the l o n g hall
Don’t you dare lose
The smile
That I have come to know
Don’t fall down
The floor will hit you like a
Bo
Show respect
Let it rest
Call to Valkyrie tonight
Why do you feel so strongly about politics? What makes it a cause worth believing in and fighting for, to you?
Why do I feel so strongly about politics? Well, first of all it's in my blood; my father has been a huge peace activist since the Vietnam war, and also was a member of the SWP [Socialist Workers Party, dumbass.] And, being raised by my mother and having gone through so much death in my life, it would be hard not to give a damn about human life. I'm one person, one vote per person. If I can make the slightest difference, I'm going to try my damnedest!
When you're a huge folk singer and you're playing sold-out shows, what is one song that you'd give anything to cover? Why would you cover that song? What changes would you make to it to make it yours?
I do have a handful of songs that I want to cover, but the one I most want to cover would most definitely be: Silent Legacy by Melissa Etheridge. [For my roses4violet people the "Ohh my child" icon is from the improv at the end of that song.] You don't change Melissa Etheridge, it's blasphemy!
What is the one thing that you want to do right now, at this point in your life, that is so spontaneous and risky that you'll probably never do it?
To regain my youth and climb the tree in my front yard.
How permanent is love to you? Explain.
Love is occasional. It should be when I want it, and more importantly: how I want it. Nothing in this life is permanent, I found out too quickly. I do want a relationship with someone to last a pretty long while, but nothing needs to last forever.
